Doug Ingle, FALU, FLMI, has been an underwriter for 48 years holding Vice President Research and Chief Underwriter positions at AUL-Re, ING-Re, Northwestern Mutual, Hannover-Re and now consults at Doug Ingle Underwriting Research LLC. He works with Underwriters/Doctors/Actuaries conducting actuarial mortality experience studies, cost-benefit studies, multivariate Cox models, predictive analytics, evidence-based guidelines for underwriting manuals, and actuarial pricing programs for preferred criteria and underwriting requirement value. He is an assistant instructor for AAIM’s Basic Mortality Methodology Course and wrote ALU chapters on EKG Interpretation, Preferred Risk Underwriting, and co-authored the chapter on Cost-Benefit Study Construction. He was inducted into the Underwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2018.
