Richard (Rick) Gordon, FLMI, began his career in the life insurance industry in 1981 as an agent with The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States. Just one year later, he was hired as an Underwriter Trainee for Midland National Life with nary a clue what an Underwriter does. By 1987, Rick was leading a Large Case Unit for Midland National and their subsidiary company, Investors Life of Nebraska. Since that time, he has never looked back - Rick has held the positions of Chief Underwriter; Underwriting Manager; Associate Vice President and Chief Underwriter; Second Vice President and Chief Underwriter; and currently, Vice President, Corporate Underwriting and Mortality Management for Midland National and North American Life & Health, members of the Sammons Financial Group.
